Crazy water fun!

It is really hot here in the afternoons. The sun bakes the house. Someone told me when we got here that if it has not rained in awhile, the mountains lock the heat in like an oven. Yup. It feels like that. It will make for slightly warmer winter afternoons, but for now, it's hot. I'm really bad at organizing my time based on weather. I've been known to stay inside all summer and then decide to take a walk in January -- with all the kids. And then i say things like, "insont care for being outside." It's part of my "I never check the weather" thing. It is not that I don't check it, it is that I never think about it. I usually don't even know when it is ruining my day. I had headaches for years until i started wearing hats in the sun. i'm an idiot. I will spend the beautiful cool morning at the store and the blazing heat of the day gardening. I'm working on fixing this confusion, but it is an up hill battle. So today just as the tall trees started to shade the beautiful park today in ridgway, we came home ... to play with the hose! The girls are trying to make a river, and they only killed one new vegetable plant. Onward!
