The diamond in the bushes

Tonight I left my friend's house after staying late to help her clean for her new basement renter who moves in tomorrow. It was really dark, so I used my cell phone flashlight to brighten the way. I was thinking about my cute neighborhood and my friends and how nice it is to walk home. It was all oddly charming. And then my flashlight catch a glimmer of something in the bush of a house a few doors down from mine and across the street. I looked a little closer, and sure enough it was my McKenna's gold headband. It was tucked into the bush with a handful of toys as id they had been out there on purpose for a tea party. I grabbed the headband and left the toys. I kept walking with a giant smile. Something about my daughter stashing her headband for safe keeping in the Moffat's bushes on a walk to Lucy and Ella's just made me so happy.
