3 kids, 1 mama, 5 parks in 5 hours -- the Arizona playground tour 2013!!
Started at 9 at a shady neighborhood park. Agreed to run two laps at the end of each playtime. Then we found deem hills park, which was perfect for my kids. Lots of climbing and rock climbing. Peaceful surroundings and trails. Third stop was a tiny playground with some cool balancing equipment. Kids are easy to please at playgrounds. But them Quinn needed a bathroom and during her departure laps she ran head first into a pole. It was horrible. The kind that makes mama cry. The. We got lost looking for a bathroom an made a giant 20 mile circle -- oops. Now we're enjoying the fourth park -- anthem city park. The play ground is huge and gated off. At first I thought we'd need tickets. We've got the snacks out, which they are too busy to eat. When they least expect it, I want to surprise them with a train ride. We've got a plan for park number 5 an a secret bonus park close to home. Loving this time with my kids. Feels like playing with a purpose!! My style!! It's also a distraction from my friends who I miss painfully.
