Texts to friends right now feel like writing letters home from camp. I'm already also texting one new friend "at camp." Today we met a family who move into Ridgway in November, and they already got transferred and have to move. The wife is awesome, and we would have been friends for sure. Right now we are looking at taking over their lease, which would be a complete miracle. Rentals are scarce in Ridgway. And their house is beautiful! We went to see it today after church. We loved it ... And then we got stuck in the snow in the driveway. A neighbor towed us out, and the family barely let us driveway without sandwiches and dinner. Sweet people. The members of the church were great. They were excited to meet us, and there was this hilarious rivalry between Montrose and Ridgway. I loved it. Everyone wanted us on their team.
Our poor children are amazing. They have been in hotels are cars constantly for the last 3 days. But they just roll with it. I worry about how this is affecting them emotionally, and I would never want them to think back on how we just ripped them from their home and dragged them around for weeks. So I am stepping up my patience, and constantly telling them how much I love them. I give them candy and presents, and I don't get mad them for snoring in my ear or asking for food ALL day long. We are in this together.
So, here is my wish list:
1) a green smoothie for my next 20 meals
2) child care needs taken care of for when we get to AZ
3) no more snow
4) no more processed foods
5) a baby who sleeps through the night (the one I've got ... Not a new one)
6) less crap in the car
7) no trouble getting Quinn enrolled in school
8) a lease on the Ridgway house
9) both Utah houses to sell by early march
10) a 5 mile run or to be watching the grammy's. one of those.
11) some free time to watch a show
12) no sicknesses as a result of this crazy week. Please so sickness for this little family
13) visitors at our Ridgway house by June :)
