Just flipped a major U-turn to go back and get a picture of this sign. It made my heart cheer a little. Turn left for Utah. Straight for Colorado. Straight toward our adventure, a tiny house, and a small town. Here's to doing what's best for your family and what feeds your heart.
I woke up way earlier than i had to and finished the last bit of packing. Last night I was so excited and distracted that I left the keys on the car, and the battery died. Oh, yeah, car on. Battery dead. Grandpa to the rescue, and we were back in business. An hour into the drive the girls -- mostly Kenna-- we're asking if we were already in CO. And now she is begging that we get her cast off right when we get there. She has two weeks left. Oh dear.
And we have the cat, too, of course. I've already chased her through two windy parking lots with 3 little girls in toe crying, "Charlotte!!" and "oh, no!!!" He is rotating from lap to lap, who h is fine until someone de idea they don't want them, and they think Incan do anything about it at 80 mph. But I'm in my groove now. I've got cat food in the cup holders, and lollipops to distract anyone who gets accosted by the kitty. We stopped at a McDonald's in a really rural place, so I was going to let Charlotte just hang out in the parking lot to go per and stretch. No such luck. She followed us in 3 times. Dang dog/ cat. Hence more chasing. At that same stop we were going to all get our new Colorado hair cuts. However, I never saw one person who did not have long, straight black hair. I was guessing blonde curls and white girl pixie cuts might not be their super cuts specialty. So on we drive.
