The house hunt

We have the worse real estate energy ever. In the last two weeks we called several every property manager in town about every rental listing available. No replies. No help. I got one guy on the phone, and I told him we wanted the house sight unseen. He said great, and then he never sent the application or lease, won't return calls or emails. Today he relisted the se property for $100 more. I called another listing this morning -- phone number was wrong. I emailed a new listing last night, email returned.

Then, we decide to just buy. We sent in a full price offer. Rejected. No other buyers. No counter offer. Not bank owned. Just rejected.

Its's getting crazy. Things started to turn around today. I called a few more people and finally got a great man on the phone who was really helpful. We are sending in some applications tonight. Fingers crossed that we have a destination by Monday. If not, we are off to our cabin. Not a bad gig, actually. I miss the cabin (and I want to grab the "welcome to our cabin" sign before we sell it.

I really did want that house. It was a pimped out manufactured home. Or was too small, but i loved it. And it had an office built into the detached garage. On one acre in the forest. Heart.
