Mckenna: The Big 4

Four years old today! 4 years is a long time to be alive. And life without McKenna seems like a different life all together and so long ago. I'm grateful for this little one. Words just can't describe my feelings, but here is a little bit about her. Right now she seems a little shy and a lot sly. She loves a performance (by someone else.) She thinks many things are beautiful like a cute Barbie or a new shirt. She knows her hair looks strange and crazy and she wants it long again, but a lollipop at the hair cut place or an adventure with her own scissors are more important to her. Kenna swims like a quiet drowner, and she can hike a mile, climb a rock, and sport a princess dress up day or night. She doesn't like eggs or avocado. She'd rather starve, and sometimes she has to. She loves the movie Pocohantos 2, when everyone's favorite Native American princess comes to England and "looks so beautiful." She loves Spider-Man and his amazing friends and would have passionately embraced a FireStar birthday party, if one were possible. She thinks church is a little silly but says the most beautiful prayers with gratitude for the planets and her sisters. She falls asleep better with music or talking in the background -- but if there is something to look at, she'll NEVER surrender! For her birthday meals she requested -- Mac and Cheese, cupcakes, and Chile. She never needs to pee or take a breath, and she will never have too many dolls. Happy birthday, baby girl! The party continues!
