Our life plan is unclear and a little confusing. You know it. We know it. But one thing we are always up for is a spontaneous new life plan with something dramatic in it like joining a new band or moving to heaven (a nice place --of course -- not the dying way you move to heaven).
So yesterday we watched Titanic on Netflix and planned a trip to Lake City to look at Real Estate. And in the morning we packed up and went to see if we could make a new home in Lake City, CO. We call this interviewing a new city. On the drive, we were sure this was our place. But when we got here Tim was not impressed with prices and options, and I thought the town lacked magic. It was charming, but Ouray and it's magic have ruined me forever. In the end, the prices won out, and we'll head home tomorrow as much more grateful residents of Ouray County, Colorado.
We thought we would head back tonight because we couldn't find a place to stay and Kenna's bad cough sort of ruled out tent camping. Magically -- ironically -- a beautiful cabin appeared and we rented it for the night. We stepped on the grounds, and the girls started giggling and laughing and falling in love with each other. Thanks, Lake City and my sweet family, for a fun night -- reminiscent of the days of yore in our Utah cabin that change who we are and what we want out of life and got this crazy party started 2 years ago.
