Fat and happy

I'm super fat right now. I look ridiculous in my clothes. I feel gross. I couldn't find my only hair clip for a few days, so that has been making it worse. I should just trust that if I treat my body well, it will take shape and give me what I need. But deep down I still dream about cookies all day and feel like I deserve a basically trim body if I am going to go without my one true love. Alas, today I looked and felt horrible. I decided to take Lizza and Charlie to story time AND THEN go shopping to buy something that would cover my fat. I was planning to solve the problem by visiting stores, which I hate doing, and spending a bunch of money I don't have. Great plan! Off we went!

But right when we got to the library, a nice mom asked to see my sweet bundle (my baby, if course, not my belly), and then we talked for an hour and a half. We didn't agree on everything, but we were clearly motivated my similar passions and lost on the same journey. We kept trying to stop talking but couldn't.

When she left, it was time to head to the store. But wait ... What store was it!? What did I need? What did I think I needed? I stood there at the door of the library trying to muster the reasons and logic for the planned shopping trip. I couldn't.

Stuff is awesome. But I am more grateful for people, for life, for the journey. I might still go shopping, but not for those same reasons and items ... Whatever they were!!!

There is joy in a village. Joy in people.
