Fireball Soccer

I am coaching soccer for the first time this season, and I am passionately obsessed with it. Attending soccer in any other capacity would now be excruciating. I love being with the girls, teaching them, playing with them, laughing, yelling from the sidelines and veins popping out of my neck!! Amazing!

We've had a really fun season so far. 2 wins. 2 losses. I've got a great player who can play every position and never stops running. I have Quinn who will only play goal so she doesn't have to get tired, and I have a 5 year old in lala land who still manages to steel my heart as i see her excitement when she kicks the ball and as I talk to her about her first loose tooth. Everyone else is in the middle, and it's all so fun. When i started, Quinn said it was fine I I coach as long as I never ever sing. "Just stick to soccer stuff, mom." Well, I failed at the fort practice when I accidental sang a quick line about all the fluorescent colors everyone was wearing. Everyone laughed and Quinn was horrified ... Until she saw everyone laugh. She later agreed it was ok .... Sometimes.

Last night we had an awesome family practice night where each team got to play against their parents. We had a blast. I got two left footed goals, and Quinn was impressed. But apparently I messed up a kick after that, and she she is no longer impressed. She's a tough one to please! We have 4 games and 2 parties left.

My life is arrive with the sound of soccer!
