Brighter skies

It's a lot warmer today. After our horrible morning, we headed home to unpack some more boxes. We found the TV, the juicer, and vitamix at the storage unit. I think that cheered everyone up. I talked to Quinn about how she can so her own hair from now on but I need her to speak nicely, she needs to ask me for help sometimes (for me), and she has to keep her hair clean. If it is dirty, them i get to do it so it won't look so dirty. I was tired and still pretty miserable when we got home from Montrose. The kids were still acting pretty ungrateful all through lunch. But i got in a few chapters of my book, and that helped. I also saw my niece riding a bike for the first time -- this made me start crying all over again about losing children. But I was so proud of Calli, and grateful for the video. It really got warmer all day. We finally took the kids out to the park by the community pool. Tim and I threw a football around -- with our left hands -- and we helped Quinn learn to slide down a really tall fireman pole on the playground. They have this amazing fish pond at the park that took my breath away. Turtles, little fish, cat fish, huge fish! It was amazing. And I was overcome with love for these mountains and this amazing mountain valley. We really love it here so much. The pool is a hit spring pool, and when I went inside to check the prices -- the mad at the desk have me a sweet old man wink and pulled up the Ouray resident prices. It's not free, but it is really affordable. Quinn gets in free for being a local student, and Kenna and Lizza are free until they are 4. I can't express to you how cool I is to swim year round in a outdoor hot pool a hundred yards from such beautiful mountains and rocky cliffs. I really not one to be overcome by nature, but this gets me every time. Even if we couldn't afford to swim, the park and pond have the same views. Amazing. So skies are brighter and mountains are higher, but I really could use some parenting books in the mail. Please send your favorites to 707 5th street, Ouray, Colorado 81427.

Thanks.

Photos on Tim's phone. Coming soon.
