Sniffles and snow fall

Yesterday we went for a drive to recover from the super human strengths of lifting two dressers upstairs. The lifting was horrible but made me feel great about myself. I'm really not one for physical work. I really hate it. In once let a girl with a serious arthritis problem move a couch for me. I am not proud, but it had to be done. Anyway, we went for a drive in to Ridgway. I should have sent Tim to get more stuff because we basically still have nothing, but we had enough food and supplies to make dinner, so we chose family time instead. Tim drive me to Ridgway to see the house we tried to buy. I think I might have dodged a bullet, but I still mad we did not get it. I guess I would rather get shot than be told no. The house looked way smaller than the pictures, and the drive was long and bumpy. For a cabin, it would be perfect. For 50 acres, perfect. But for one acre with no bus stop and crap Internet. No thanks. More and more we are falling in love with Ouray City and embracing living on no land 20 feet from some major trail heads.

At the end of our drive --- we forgot to stop and buy sprouts as planned -- but we did remember to stop and buy really expensive chocolate from the chocolatier in town. $8, 4 pieces, happy kids. (And happy mommy since one piece is a cookie called the scrap that adds all the chocolate scraps from the day to cookie dough and bakes up some mystery heaven). The chocolate store has free wifi, and so I will probably work from their for the next few days until our Internet get hooks up on "Thursday."

Last night Tim and i tried to sleep on the second of the two hide away beds. When you lay with your head at the top, your feet are a foot above you. So, that said, we took the mattress off the bed and on to the floor and i slept like a white trash rock. We work up with McKenna snuggling with us, our nose sniffing, and the snow falling. Sick and happy. That's what we are. It's our fist CO snow fall. We thought we had dodged most of the winter storms, but this one crept in. The house is suppose tinny be suited for winter, but it is fine so far. We have a 6 months to avoid next winter, but maybe we'll stay longer. Like I said, I have this strong desire to take care of this little house and leave it better than I found it. I maybe I'll fill it with awesome things and guy it before i go! Depends on my mood in guess.

Working today with make this move seem real. Real life. But it probably won't change that I really like playing house here. This simple place with notice stuff simplifies the game and makes it more fun for me. I don't have to deal with anyone fighting over what I make for breakfast. It is broiled toast ... or grapes or both. That's all folks. Simple for now. We've just got snuggled, sniffles, and snow ... Oh, and Saran Wrap on the windows to keep out the cold.
