Now that I am sitting home after a walk to the park, it is easy to forget ALL the details of the picturesque life walking around our small town. I wouldn't want to deceive you, so let me remember some more details. All walks -- except for the ONE i have been on alone -- usually result in someone screaming. Keep in mind these are very short walks, but it never fails to be too long for someone. I end up holding someone to get up a hill or straining to push the broken single stroller -- with two kids in it -- up a steep dirt road. One time Lizza sat in the middle of said road and would not walk or be carried. One time Kenna started screaming for hot chocolate on a warm day all the way at the mini park and continued to get louder for the 4 blocks home. The thing about houses this close together and a town this small is that it really does sometime feel like everyone is every house can hear your child from their dinner table. I don't embarrass easy, but this has turned me red a few times.
So walking is not perfect, but I love it. Everyday with kids is going to involve crying and arguing. I just prefer those fits happen on the walk to Duckett's Market instead of the drive to Wal-mart. So, onward. More walking. More crying. More fresh air.
