Yesterday, I was happy as a clam and feeling great. I grabbed a bunch of Green Chard (admittedly questionable), a beet, and some ginger. Made my juice and took a sip. Horrible. My body started to gag before it got to my mouth. This seemed strange. I drink gross juice a lot. It is what it is. No problem. So I choked it down with a few gags. Immediately I felt sick. I kept telling Tim, "Why would I still feel like gagging? It's over. Glassed washed and back in the cupboard." Then it got worse, and before I knew it I was saying good-bye once again to $6 of organic veggies. I felt horrible for 4 hours, and then I got dressed and went about my day. I ate lunch and dinner and stayed up late. Done. I was kind of freaked because I really wasn't sure why my body rejected such awesome-for-me juice. What if I could never juice ginger again without barfing? Oh NO!
NEVER fear. Kenna started barfing this morning. So, as this goes throughout the family, we will be feeling horrible and living in filth, but hey, I'm not allergic to my juice. It's the little things.
But really I am still shocked that my body before the first sip knew enough to say, "Don't do it!" I should have listened.
