Colorado Fires

So I am not sure what try are saying on the news all over the country, but this week I am 10 questions like, "Can you even breathe in Colorado?" "Oh no, how's your air quality." I'm grateful that people care but it's pretty funny that the media can't paint such a ridiculous image of an entire state on fire. We did have one small fire in Ouray that was out quickly, and there has been a small fire burning in the mountains east of ridgway for a week. This Picture is our first sign of fire. We saw this view on our way home from telluride. Notice the beautiful white cloud and then to the left and fog-like cloud. That fog-like haze is all we have seen of fires. Our entire county is on a fire ban, and we will probably lose our famous Ouray fireworks for the fourth :(. Anytime the fire or paramedics leave the station in town for any reason, they sound this crazy loud fire alarm. It didn't use to bother me but after everyone started asking me about fires and air, now I am a little paranoid. One student was asking me about the fires yesterday, and then the alarm sounded during our talk. It was pretty funny. It's loud! Anyway, this is a picture of our horrible air quality. I pray that colorado stays safe as these fires do what they need to do. And what the heck? I just heard a out a fire in alpine today. What? We need rain. Last year when alpine was on fire, a lot of prayer brought a LOT of rain. It was a beautiful miracle.
