Mail Fail

Mail fail -- I was in charge of collecting donations from the first grade class for a basket to be auctioned at a big event this weekend. Our theme was Tangled -- it is all hair supplies and kid hair stuff, a tangled doll and the tangled CD. I was also in charge of buying the basket to put it all in. Instead of a $10 basket that nobody wants, I thought it would be fun to use a big pink sun hat as the basket. Right? I know! I'm adorable. So, it was due last week but the organizer gave me an extension because it was a cute idea. Amazon said our "basket" would show up yesterday (September 26) -- but when I checked online yesterday after no package arrived -- no joke it said it had already shipped and would show up between Oct 15 and Nov 1. What is this? the freaking pony express? LOL don't forget to stop and water your horse! I couldn't believe it. I'll buy a basket in town today. So funny. I'm pretty embarrassed -- and sad about my sun hat. I hate doing things the normal way.
