The First Day of School -- The True but kind of Fake, Pretty Version

First Day of Second Grade and Kindergarten at Goodlettsville Elementary

The girls woke up an hour early all excited for the first day of school. There were no grumbling about uniforms, and everyone brushed their teeth and combed their hair. We took our classic first day pictures and off we went. All the kids arriving at school really did look adorable in their little uniforms. And there was just a lot of love all around. When Kenna's teacher asked her if she was excited to be here, Kenna looked at here confidently and shook her head, NOPE. LOL At least she is honest, right? Lizza and I enjoyed a trip to Target and several donuts each to celebrate our new found freedom while the kids enjoyed their first half day of school. Each girl made at least one new friend. Lola for Quinn and Lexi for Kenna. And after school we all enjoyed a round of glitter glue and a meal at Waffle House -- a treat they have all been waiting for since Mid July. No school tomorrow, and Kenna said she is sad about that. Back to school Friday, and then a whole week starts Monday. So proud of my kids for being so courageous  in a brand new world.
