Spring Break 2016

Well, we didn't plan a spring break trip this year because we leave in 6 weeks to move back to Colorado. I missed the first few days of the kids time off, and Tim missed and last few days. And we both worked a lot in the middle BUT while Tim was gone this weekend, I managed to do a long list of nashville things with the kids. Many of these things Tim would never do with kids or would even talk me out of doing if he were home because what kind of idiot takes a crazy toddler to tourist attractions? He is not wrong. But nevertheless -- the work is done, and I am mostly ready to move now.

Here is where we went this week:

Costco and to take pictures with giant guitars (and play at a new park and buy Easter dresses that we don't need)

The Nashville zoo to see our favorite reptiles again and finally see a show -- it involved birds (membership expires in 3 days)

The Adventure Science Center to play and pose outside to remember our dozens of trips in 2 years

Bicentennial park and the Tennessee State Capitol

A local park where we usually see no one we know but this time each girl saw someone from their class -- it's a Tennessee miracle

A walk on the Pedestrian bridge to a night downtown with 4 kids. Dinner at Margaritaville on Broadway with live music and a pirate on stilts making balloon animals

Waffle House to remember the south in all its glory -- played 12 songs on the juke box during breakfast -- including Pinks' Just Give Me a Reason

The country music Hall of Fame and Museum -- twice -- once to check it out and buy a membership (to use for 6 weeks) and another visit on Easter to enjoy a craft in The Taylor Swift educational center and a fiddle concert in the actual Hall of Fame (with Lizza dancing up front and Charlie screaming in the back -- and Kenna walking around looking for Taylor Swift's flat, bronze bust of the artist inducted (although, turns out, she is actually not yet in the Country Music Hall of Fame)

A Harry Potter themed birthday party where the divination center did not open until the Christians left -- as to not offend.
