One day in Ouray

We stopped in Ouray on our way to Utah to hit the last music series concert. It rained. But we got one beautiful, rainy day in Ouray. We managed to squeeze in quite a bit of fun. On the way, we stopped in Glennwood Springs to have dinner with cousin Merrick and his girl friend Kara. They were charming and told us all a out their camping (homeless) Colorado life. Such free spirits and very honest, which we loved. I hope they come stay with us in Evergreen. Once we got to Ouray, Tim and I each hiked in the morning on county road 17, but Tim's walk turned into a 16 miles run. He was gone for hours and met us at the pool. The rain stopped long enough to hit the pool with friends and buy bathing suits and yarn at second chance BUT the wet was back for the concert. Cold and wet, we hung out in the hospitality tent with Heidi Pankow and the band. Lizza made Devon from the Ballroom thieves fall in love with her. She was their first dancer in the rain and earned a guitar pic and dump stick from the band. Tim had a sleep over with Maple, and once again Maple is Charlie's favorite person. Brie and guacamole for dinner. More rain in the morning and off we go.
