Herbs and Lindsay and Love

When I see these herbs steeping in my new pot, I think of some special things. First I think about the miracle of Amazon Prime. I'm only human, and it really is amazing! Then I thing about sharing my love of herbs with my brother in law David and giving him my old pot. Them I think a out my sweet and amazing friend Lindsay who was ahead of my on the herb wagon but patiently waited for me to come along for the ride. 6 months ago at the stroke of midnight, she steeped me and Tim an amazing New Years brew for our toasts. I was hooked. The best part is that now when in something simple like put some herbs in hot water and watch them float around, I think of my best friend who is always learning and growing and sharing. She's one of my heros, and she is a beautiful example of patience, honestly, humility, love, and warmth. When you meet Lindsay, she really cares about everything you say. She asks questions until she gets you. And she loves to have fun. I'm grateful for herbs for their healing power and how thy connect me to the earth and save me money on medicine, but when I see these steeping herbs, I think of how Lindsay would see them. I see her gratitude for the earth and her love for me. And I get so excited to sit on the floor with her and talk a out life in just 1 week! I equally excited to bawl with Lizza about these crazy life changes, eat cookies with Megan, and watch movies with Renee. These floating flowers remind me about all of that. :)
