After Tim's test crashed and this week fell to crap very quickly, I was still fuming when I got another call from him. He sounded happy and positive.
"Oh, did you get something worked out?
"No. It's the same."
"Well, then why do you sound so happy? I've been waiting in this doctor's office for 40 minutes. You're annoying."
"I went to lunch with Brandon. He always makes me feel better. And I guess I just realize that if this is the worst thing that happens to me right now, my life is pretty amazing."
Beautiful idea. I was super annoyed at the time because I was still so mad. But he's right. Nothing like a rich, white man problem to put life in perspective. And i was so glad he pulled himself out of the dumps -- because I certainly didn't have it in me to do it for him. Thanks, Brandon.
